As I said in my earlier journal, I have been observing everyone's art contributions. I finally was brave enough to post a couple of pictures . Received positive feed back!! I will go through my photographs and pick out what I think will look best and keep submitting. I still enjoy looking at all of the submitted photos and other various art submissions. It's nice to know some people like my stuff. Thanks to all!

I have been a member of Deviant Art for five years, admiring and enjoying the various forms of artwork displayed throughout the pages. My son who is in the US Navy stationed in Japan started posting his family photos on Flicker. He urged me to do the same. So, a couple of weeks ago I traveled to our local lakefront to take some snaps of the old lighthouse. They recently reconstructed the keeper's house. It looks fantastic. I posted 5 pictures later that week and was stunned that someone gave me a couple of favorites and actually liked my photos. This is something new and exciting for me. Last week we had temperatures rising into the 80's (F).  I was almost tempted to turn the central air conditioning. It was beautiful, bright and sunny with a higher humidity. This week it has returned to more normal temperatures but still above the average. 40's (F). Hope we don't get a frost and destroy the beautiful blossoms from the trees or the daffodils.
